Takashi Kusui is a multi disciplined graphic designer & art director living and working in NYC.
His work includes Art Direction, Communication Design, Branding / Identity Development, Typography, Packaging, Editorial, Fashion & Lifestyle. At Mother New York, he was working for Arla, Stella Artois, Target, NBC, Dell, New Balance, Liz Claiborne, DailyMotion, Johnson & Johnson, and Yves Saint Laurent.
 
Taka graduated the School of Visual Arts, where he majored in Graphic Design, and earned the Alumni award for his thesis project. He developed aesthetic sense in Osaka where he was born and raised - anime, calligraphy, karate, manga, skateboard/rollerskating, soccer, swimming. In high school, spent most of his time racing go-carts and motorbikes.
 
Moved to Tokyo (bartender, making crappy video, acting both theater & film) and travelled throughout the Pacific Rim for several years. Later, he came to New York City and has lived and worked here for 8 years.
